Purchased brand new in Aug. 2015 (2016 model).

Two days later generator stopped working, refrigerator not working, roof air not working, broken drawer hasp. Returned to dealer (Mike Thompson) very poor customer service. Over 100 that day and was told to sit inside coach until lunch was over. No roof air in coach.

Replaced generator after heated complaints and 6 hrs later drove out. 15 minutes later, generator stopped working again. Roof air would only work on shore line power. Made appointment to return.

Took unit out for weekend trip and engine alt light came on. Returned to dealer. dealer said it was a mercedes benz issue and assured it would be dropped off two days later. After one week, I called and found out what MB dealer had it.

Called them to find out results and when it would be ready. No one from the dealership explained to the MB dealership what the problem was and nothing had been done to repair it. Following week found out that Winnebago failed to secure a bolt on the battery causing a short and melted the battery cover. It could have caught on fire.

Not covered by MB warranty and they wanted $250.00 for repair. After calling Mike Thompson, they agreed to pay for repair. Following week it was returned. Tried to use it again and still not generator, roof air or refrigerator use as well as no furnace for heat.

Back to dealership with additional issue of led interior lights stopped working. Noticed a smell of propane leaking outside. Got a notice from Winnebago of a possible defective propane gas line. Returned to dealership.

Replaced gas valve and bas line (another 10 days at dealership). Found out Winnebago mis-wired the breaker box wires causing the generator problems. Called Winnebago after sending three emails complaints with no response from them. After another month, galley faucet fell out of of the sink.

Returned to dealership. After returning same day to pick up and assured it was repaired, checked it and it was never touched by the tech. Refused to leave with it and demanded repair immediately. Had tech return and watched his seal it (2 more hours).

Used it a couple of times locally and 2 trips over 1600 miles. More led interior lights failed. Refused to return it to Mike Thompson and took it to another dealership.They did the repairs but told me that they will no longer service any Winnebago products since Winnebago's quality control has failed too many times and they refuse to pay for the warranty repairs at a fair price to the dealership. I also need to state that after putting on 7700 miles, I had to replace both front tires and realign it at my expense.

Winnebago told me it was MY responsibility to load the coach and have the alignment checked/adjusted before using it. The dealership told me the same thing. I talked to my salesman about that issue. He was not aware of it and he sales 100's of motorhomes each year.

He had never heard that the customer must load it and have the alignment checked/adjusted to correct it from the factory settings.

That bill was over $750.00 out of my pocket. After 1 year and many headaches, things seem to working smoothly (for now).

wow what a scam. I will not buy one of these which I was planning on doing. Thanks but feel good that mike Thompson and winnebego lost a good customer.


Winnebago warranty service is a joke and a nightmare! Best advice for anyone looking to purchase a new Winnebago is to just say no!
